WSC Delivered a 3KEYMASTER Generic Hydroelectric Power Plant Classroom Simulator to WAPDA

WSC delivered a 3KEYMASTER Generic Hydroelectric Power Plant Classroom Simulator to the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) for the Hydropower Training Institute (HPTI) Mangla.

The engineering-grade classroom training simulator, a 100 MWe Unit Hydro Power Plant delivered on a 3KEYSTUDENT Classroom Platform, is used to instruct students on the basic concepts of hydropower plant operation and control of the plant systems.

The 3KEYSTUDENT Classroom Platform provides WAPDA with more flexibility than the single operator station setup, extending the simulator's capabilities by:

   -   Allowing each student to run the simulator load independently or in a "Team" mode.

   -   Allowing for control of multiple generators in a classroom setting on a single hardware platform.

The operation of the plant equipment, plant parameters control and monitoring, and safety tagging of plant equipment is carried out through the emulated ABB HMI system. The DCS is fully emulated, including HMI functionality and the logic & control, allowing the simulator to be used on multiple machines simultaneously.
